Indexed Pages Checker

No — there's no public API for that, and scraping Google's search results isn't reliable or allowed. Instead, this tool checks the things that actually control indexing: whether this page has a noindex directive, whether robots.txt allows crawling, and how many URLs your sitemap submits for indexing. Google's own Search Console is the authoritative source for actual indexed-page counts.

A noindex value in a meta robots tag or X-Robots-Tag header tells search engines not to include that page in their search results, even if they're allowed to crawl it. It's often used deliberately for admin pages, thank-you pages, or duplicate content — but left on a page by accident, it silently removes that page from search entirely.

Your sitemap is a direct signal to search engines about which pages you consider worth crawling and indexing. A sitemap with far fewer URLs than your site actually has may mean new or important pages aren't being discovered efficiently, especially on larger sites.

Search engines can still discover and index your pages by crawling links, but a sitemap makes that discovery faster and more reliable — especially for pages with few internal links pointing to them, or on large sites where crawl budget is limited.

A canonical tag tells search engines which URL is the authoritative version of a page. If it points to a different URL than the one you're checking, search engines will typically index that other URL instead — which is expected behavior for deliberate deduplication, but a problem if it happens by accident.
