Server Status Check

It sends a real HTTP request to the URL you enter and measures how long the server takes to respond, along with the exact status code it returns. If the connection fails outright — a timeout, DNS failure, or refused connection — that's reported as unreachable rather than guessed from indirect signals, so the result reflects what actually happened on that specific request.

This check runs from our server's network location, not your browser, so a difference usually points to something location-specific — a firewall or CDN rule blocking certain regions or automated traffic, a DNS change that hasn't propagated everywhere yet, or a temporary routing issue that resolved by the time you checked again. Try re-running the check a minute later before assuming it's a false result.

No — this is a single, real-time check of the server's status at the moment you run it, not a continuous monitoring service that tracks uptime history over days or weeks. If you need alerts the moment a site goes down, you'll want a dedicated uptime monitoring tool that checks on a schedule and notifies you of changes.

A slow response usually points to server-side load, an inefficient backend, a distant data center relative to where the request originated, or a lack of caching — it's measuring how long the server took to start responding, not how long a full page (with images, scripts, and styles) takes to finish loading in a browser. Pair this with a full page speed test for the complete picture.

A 4xx status means the server is reachable but says the request itself was invalid or forbidden (like a 404 for a missing page), while a 5xx status means the server accepted the request but failed to handle it correctly. Both are flagged here because they mean whatever the visitor was trying to reach isn't working, even though the server itself is technically online and responding.
